Mahalo Nui Loa to all of the participants and spectators that came out for Gerry Lopez's Big Wave Challenge at Mt. Bachelor last weekend. Many of the winning contestants walked away with pieces of wood inlaid jewelry provided by Koa Wood Rings. A special thanks to pro-surfers Shane Dorian, Ian Walsh and DK Walsh for making the trek from Hawaii for the event. They were joined by Joe Curren and Chris Christenson competing in the "Pro-Surfer" Division with Ian Walsh taking first. Fun to see these guys surfing frozen waves.
